Assistant Vice President, Regional Marketing Specialist (Retail & Treasures), Consumer Banking, Group Marketing and Communications-(WD81261)
Business Function:
Group Marketing & Communications is responsible for building, protecting, and enhancing the DBS brand in an increasingly commoditised banking industry. Working closely with all units within the DBS Group, we create and execute integrated strategies that focus on communications especially digital communications, marketing, and research to differentiate - and elevate - our brand from the rest of the competition.
Job Purpose:
This role plans, creates, and delivers regional marketing materials—including frameworks, playbooks, masterclasses, and best practices—to engage customers in the retail and Treasures segments. Responsibilities require understanding current content marketing trends, business drivers, market research, and consumer insights. Success depends on influencing and guiding regional and local teams, requiring strong collaboration, organizational skills, and stakeholder management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement marketing governance frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Create standardized content marketing materials to boost customer engagement
- Share thought leadership and regional best practices for campaigns, social media, and content marketing
- Review and guide in-market campaigns
- Monitor marketing effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Collaborate with regional and local teams for smooth implementation
- Support marketing campaign development and execution
- Originate, adapt, and distribute content across paid, owned, and earned channels in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Manage initiatives across multiple products, segments, and countries
This position works mainly with stakeholders in Products, Segments, BA, Data, Digital, and Marketing within Consumer Banking to deliver marketing materials that drive acquisitions, transactions, and engagement for Retail and Treasures banking.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years' experience in a marketing or communications role; preference will be given to candidates with a background in the financial industry.
- Requires understanding of the evolving content marketing landscape, retail products /wealth banking, primary business drivers, and consumer insights, along with strong written and marketing communication capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing marketing governance frameworks.
- Proven project management and analytical abilities, with capacity to independently lead and oversee initiatives involving multiple work streams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track record of effective collaboration across various teams to achieve desired outcomes and business objectives.
- Skilled in stakeholder management and influence, with the capability to foster productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, and to guide regional and local teams.
- Ability to generate creative solutions and think innovatively.
- Superior writing and communication skills, supporting the ability to drive results and influence decisions.
- Effective self-starter and team collaborator who thrives in dynamic, fast paced, and diverse environments.
