Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our Supramax dry bulk fleet of around 8-10 vessels, to be based in Singapore
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the management of all vessels' shipping operations matter including post
- fixture.
- Voyage planning including but not limited to optimising cargoes and bunkers calculations
- Monitor vessels daily performance at sea and in port to minimise delays, claims and / or
- disputes
- Communicate and liaise with vessel owner's / ship masters / charterers / brokers and other
- relevant stakeholders on voyage instructions
- Communication with agents on port disbursements, cargo readiness and vessel schedules
- Coordinate extra insurance covers (i.e. : war risk, LoH, K&R etc), if any
- Raise hire statement, freight statement, laytime calculation and ensure timely receipts of freight, charter hire, demurrage and other outstanding debts
- Constructively handle and settle claims together with commercial team and P&I Club
- Prepare voyage performance analysis and report variances from the initial estimates
- Maintain a record of all documents in each voyage and update company's software with required data
- Negotiate and draft / check Charter Party
- Negotiate with third party vendors to improve cost savings
- Support and lead process improvement initiatives
- Provide technical expertise in ship operations for better optimization of resources
- Any other work as and when required by the company
Requirements :
3+ years in dry bulk shipping operations.Strong knowledge of CP terms, maritime logistics, and documentation.Understanding of Index-linked shipments (time charter and voyage)Excellent English, communication, and team skills.For Singapore position only PR or Citizens to applyTell employers what skills you have
