Roles & Responsibilities

Money Market Dealer

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute daily money market transactions, including borrowing, lending, and placement of funds in various tenors and instruments (e.g., interbank deposits, call / notice money, short-term papers).
  • Monitor and manage the branch’s liquidity position to ensure compliance with internal limits and MAS regulatory requirements.
  • Support FX swap and repo transactions to optimize funding and liquidity management.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders (ALM, Finance, Risk, Compliance) for smooth deal processing and reporting.
  • Maintain and update dealing records, limits, and daily cash flow forecasts.
  • Provide market updates and pricing indications to relevant teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties, brokers, and interbank participants.
  • Ensure strict adherence to internal policies, compliance guidelines, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Prepare and submit relevant regulatory and internal reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a treasury or financial markets environment.
  • Good understanding of money market products, FX swaps, repo, and liquidity management principles.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a good sense of market risk.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with counterparties and internal teams.
  • Proficient in MS Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg / Reuters is an advantage.
