The Role

ImmunoQs’ Digital Analytics Lab (DAL) is seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual to work closely with the DAL Director in supporting our clients and collaborators with the analysis of big spatial proteomics and/or transcriptomics data for cancer biomarker discovery applications. The successful candidate will also help to develop new AI-driven bioinformatics tools and improve our existing data analytics workflows, making emerging spatial omics technologies more accessible to clinicians and researchers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform data processing, quality control, and downstream analysis for spatial proteomics and transcriptomics datasets.
• Integrate multi-modal datasets (e.g., spatial protein + RNA + clinical metadata) to generate meaningful biological insights.
• Develop and implement data analysis workflows for new spatial omics technologies and experimental designs.
• Perform image and data quality control and annotate regions of interest from tissue images where required.
• Generate heatmaps, bar charts, spatial maps, or other graphs to represent analysis results clearly.
• Document analysis methodologies, results, and records in a reproducible and traceable manner.
• Prepare reports and presentations to our clients or collaborators.
• Provide technical support and assistance to clients or collaborators as needed.
• Support business development strategies and marketing efforts through scientific input and data-driven storytelling.
• Learn the latest spatial omics instruments, techniques, and data processing and analysis methodologies by reading papers and attending/participating in appropriate workshops, seminars, and courses.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor, Master, or Ph.D. in computational biology, bioinformatics, bioengineering, biomedical science, biological science, life sciences, computer science, or other relevant fields. Candidates with Ph.D. will be considered for a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist position,
• Proficiency in programming languages andsoftware tools commonly used in bioinformatics and spatial omics, including R and Python, is required.
• Good knowledge in data normalization, RNA expression analysis, differential analysis, pathway enrichment analysis, clustering analysis, and basic machine learning algorithms are required.
• Previous experience in analyzing spatial transcriptomics data (such as Visium, CosMx, GeoMx, Stereo-seq, Xenium) and/or multiplex tissue images using ImageJ, QuPath, or other tools is highly desirable
• Previous experience in using AI or deep learning models, agents, or tools to analyze biological data (such as images, sequences, and/or expression profiles) is highly desirable.
• Good knowledge in molecular biology, transcriptomics, cancer, and immunology. Previous experience in microscopy, imaging, or tissue staining is highly desirable.
• Preferably with 1 or 2 years of experience working in a research laboratory or relevant industry environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to implement quality controls for reliable and accurate analysis outcomes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
