Job descriptionAssist with reviewing client / audit team working papers on the appropriateness of asset / liability carrying amounts measured using fair or recoverable values. Perform independent valuations for businesses, intellectual property, financial instruments, etc. Conduct market and industry research. Construct and analyze financial models. Develop financial models and establish best practices, workflows, and procedures in related areas. Perform financial modelling and forecasting using various methods and tools. Review valuation reports for inaccuracies. Identify gaps in valuation reports and suggest improvements. Understand and apply financial reporting standards; pose relevant challenges and questions on key inputs and assumptions used by management. Guide the team in amending reports to clearly articulate valuation conclusions. Engage in technical research and consultations, including writing technical publications, reviewing and developing technical working paper templates and training materials, and facilitating / conducting technical training sessions. Review and develop training programs, coordinate and conduct training, and monitor CPE hours for audit professionals. Participate in other ad-hoc projects as required. Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification. At least 5 years of audit experience, preferably from an international public accounting firm.
