We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Engineer to join our Plating – Barrel team. The successful candidate will support production operations, ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct periodic solution analysis and chemical replenishment for plating baths.
- Execute engineering tasks and projects assigned by supervisors.
- Drive production capacity improvements and initiate cost reduction projects.
- Establish, review, and update process standards including PMP, FMEA, and Work Instructions to align with productivity and quality needs.
- Liaise with customers regarding production issues and project requirements.
- Identify, contain, and prevent shipment of potential or nonconforming products.
- Analyze and resolve production problems to improve quality and efficiency.
- Initiate stop-production and stop-shipment actions when major quality issues arise.
- Support implementation of environmental management practices (e.g., control of chemicals, energy, water, and waste).
- Ensure compliance with company policies on Quality, Environmental, Water Efficiency, and Occupational Health & Safety.
- Participate in safety risk assessments and promote continuous safety improvements in production and inspection areas.
- Report any quality, environmental, water efficiency, or safety concerns to the relevant authority promptly.
Job Requirements
Diploma / Degree in Chemistry, Material Engineering or related Engineering discipline.Knowledge of electroplating, surface finishing, or semiconductor / metal finishing processes is an advantage.Fresh graduates are welcome; relevant working experience in plating / chemical process industries preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.Proactive, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.What we offer
