Roles & Responsibilities
Installs tiles made of ceramic, porcelain, stone, glass, or other materials on floors, walls, ceilings, and surfaces in residential, commercial, or industrial spaces.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Surface Preparation : Cleaning, leveling, and measuring surfaces to ensure proper alignment and adhesion.
- Layout Planning : Measuring spaces and planning tile layout to minimize cuts and waste.
- Tile Cutting and Shaping : Using tools like tile cutters, grinders, and wet saws to shape tiles for corners, edges, and around fixtures.
- Installation : Applying mortar or adhesive and setting tiles in place with proper spacing.
- Grouting : Filling joints with grout and cleaning excess material.
- Finishing : Sealing tiles and grout (if required) and polishing the surface.
- Repair Work : Removing and replacing damaged or cracked tiles.
