Roles & Responsibilities
We are looking for a proactive and dynamic function as Procurement Engineer to join our fast-paced infrastructure team. In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end purchasing lifecycle from identifying and qualifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring on‑time delivery of materials and services. Your efforts will directly support our project timelines, budget targets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and pre‑qualify potential suppliers.
- Issue Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and evaluate supplier proposals against technical, commercial, and delivery criteria.
Tendering & Purchase Order Exercise
Lead all tender processes in compliance with corporate governance and internal procurement policies.Generate, review, and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and manage any subsequent change orders or amendments.Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and auditable.Cost Analysis & Negotiation
Perform detailed price and total‑cost analyses, benchmarking against industry standards.Negotiate contract terms, volume discounts, warranties, and payment conditions to secure optimal pricing and service levels.Identify and implement cost‑saving opportunities without compromising on quality or delivery.Vendor Performance & Relationship Management
Monitor on‑time delivery performance, quality compliance, and service responsiveness.Develop strong, collaborative relationships with key vendors to foster continuous improvement.Proactively address and resolve any supply chain disruptions or quality issues.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Finance, and BU Management to align procurement activities with project schedules and budgetary constraints.Provide regular status updates to stakeholders on order progress, delivery timelines, and any potential risks.Procurement Workflow & Documentation
Maintain and update procurement databases and ERP records to ensure real‑time visibility of orders, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.Prepare monthly reports on spend analysis, savings achieved, and procurement KPIs.Uphold best practices in document control, filing, and versioning.Ad Hoc Procurement Support
Handle any additional procurement‑related tasks as assigned, including special projects, supplier audits, or process improvement initiatives.Qualifications & Experience :
Education : Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Supply Chain Management , Electrical or Technology , or a related field.Experience : Minimum of 4 years’ hands‑on procurement experience , preferably within infrastructure or M&E sectors.Technical Knowledge : Solid understanding of financial and legal aspects of contracting and procurement. Experience with project‑based purchasing is an advantage.Skills :
Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and risk assessment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively across departments and with external partners.Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.Personal Attributes :
