Roles & Responsibilities
We are sourcing on behalf of our client, a high-growth investment-backed business group, for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead financial strategy across its diversified automotive and investment verticals. This includes :
- Multi-brand car trading
- Rental and second-hand vehicle operations
- After-sales service and auto-dealerships
- New business streams, including a corporate venture capital arm
The role offers the chance to drive value creation across multiple revenue lines, build scalable financial systems, and lead an international finance team through transformation and expansion.
Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Finance Leadership : Build and oversee the financial planning framework, forecast modelling, and group-wide financial governance.Investment Strategy : Support group-level strategic investments, including the setup of a corporate venture capital (CVC) arm.Banking and Financing : Maintain and grow relationships with major banks and financial institutions; secure favourable funding and credit lines.Operational Oversight : Supervise financial controls across multiple units : car trading, leasing, after-sales, and new ventures.Team Leadership : Manage and develop an international finance teamCash Flow & Liquidity : Optimize group-level liquidity and ensure robust working capital structures.Compliance & Risk : Ensure regulatory compliance (UAE), internal audits, and mitigation of operational and financial risks.Ideal Candidate :
Experience :10–12 years in finance leadership, ideally in a multi-business or holding groupMinimum 3–5 years of financial planning responsibilityProven track record in automotive industryNo prior UAE experience requiredFamiliarity with scaling investment arms or involvement in venture or growth capital is a plusSkills :Strong command of financial operations in the automotive ecosystemExpertise in managing bank relations, investor communications, and board-level reportingStrategic mindset with operational disciplineSystems-driven (ERP / BI tools) and data-savvyMulticultural leadership experienceEducation :Masters / Degree in Finance, Accounting, or BusinessCPA / ACCA / CFA preferredHow to Apply?
