Roles & Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading, implementing, and optimizing procurement processes, policies, and digital procurement solutions across the organization. The role will focus on driving efficiency, cost-effectiveness, compliance, and transparency by leveraging digital tools, data analytics, and best practices in procurement governance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Strategy & Governance
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with corporate objectives and project needs.
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures, and standard operating practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Lead supplier governance, risk management, and ethical sourcing practices.
2. Procurement Process Excellence
Drive standardization and automation of procurement workflows (RFI, RFQ, RFP, tendering, evaluation, contracting, vendor onboarding).Ensure consistency and compliance across projects, business units, and regions.Monitor procurement KPIs (cost savings, lead times, supplier performance, compliance rate) and recommend corrective actions.3. Digitalization & Technology Enablement
Lead the digital transformation of procurement, including implementation of e-procurement systems, ERP integration, e-sourcing platforms, and supplier portals.Utilize data analytics, dashboards, and AI-driven insights to support decision-making and performance monitoring.Promote adoption of digital procurement tools across internal stakeholders and suppliers.4. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply reliability.Lead supplier audits, performance evaluations, and capability assessments.Drive supplier development and innovation initiatives through collaboration and partnerships.5. People Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team to build high performance and digital capability.Collaborate closely with project teams, engineering, finance, legal, and other functions to align procurement activities.Act as a change leader in embedding digitalization and process excellence in procurement.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).Minimum 10 years’ procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.Strong knowledge of procurement policies, processes, and contract management.Proven track record in leading digital procurement initiatives (ERP, SAP Ariba, Oracle, Coupa, Ivalua, or equivalent platforms).Experience in Oil & Gas / Marine / Energy / EPC industries preferred.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management abilities.Tell employers what skills you have
