About the role :
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Sous Chef with a strong foundation in Japanese cuisine to join a reputable dining establishment. You will work alongside a seasoned Japanese chef, supporting the delivery of high-quality woodfire yakitori dishes and ensuring consistency and excellence in every plate.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and motivation.
- Maintain consistent food quality and presentation standards.
- Uphold hygiene, food safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations.
- Assist in managing inventory, controlling food costs, and optimizing kitchen efficiency.
- Collaborate with the team to innovate and refine recipes and cooking methods.
- Contribute to menu development incorporating authentic Japanese techniques and flavors.
Who are we looking for :
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, preferably with a focus on Japanese cuisine.Strong leadership and team management skills.Experience with woodfire cooking techniques is highly desirable.Creative and passionate about culinary excellence.Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.Good command of English.Perks :
