Therapy Assistant (Full – Time) #CC - Islandwide, SG

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the therapists in safe resident handling and care during treatment.
• Ensuring the smooth operation of the department such as preparing the treatment area, the resident, equipment, and materials.
• Assist the Therapist or exercise trainer in all activities of therapy treatment or fitness programme
• Transport residents safely to and from treatment areas, secure them into or onto therapy equipment
• Motivate and assist residents / clients in practicing exercises and functional activities, under broad supervision
• Conduct group exercises such as circuit training or Occupational Therapy (OT) groups
• Observe clients during treatment to note client's responses and progress
• Report to a Therapist or Exercise Trainer for quality care improvement
• Ensure tidiness and cleanliness of the therapy area and disinfect equipment after treatment
• Ensure adequate stock of rehab supplies and expendables for the department
