Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned targets for steel pipes (eg. seamless, welded API 5L, ASTM grades).
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted sectors such as oil & gas, construction, shipbuilding, water infrastructure, and manufacturing.
  • Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective clients.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and project contractors.
  • Provide prompt responses to inquiries, quotations and order confirmations.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Technical & Product Knowledge

  • Understand steel pipe specifications, grades, dimensions, standards (API, ASTM, EN, ISO) and coating / lining options.
  • Advise clients on product suitability, technical requirements, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Work closely with manufacturers to prepare accurate bids and proposals.
  • Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Identify gaps in the market and propose new sales initiatives.
  • Order Management & Coordination

  • Coordinate with production, logistics and quality team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Monitor project schedules and resolve issues that may impact delivery or customer satisfaction.
  • Requirements :

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in industrial products sales, preferably steel pipes or related products
  • Familiarity with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel when required for business purposes.
