Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise daily seafood processing operations, including cleaning, cutting, filleting, packaging, and stocking.
Ensure all seafood products meet quality, freshness, and hygiene standards.
Monitor and train staff on proper handling, cutting techniques, and food safety practices.
Plan and assign work schedules to ensure smooth workflow and efficiency.
Implement proper storage methods and monitor product shelf life according to food safety regulations.
Maintain accurate inventory records and oversee stock rotation to minimize wastage.
Handle client or chef requirements, ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
Verify supplier deliveries against purchase orders to ensure correct quantity and quality.
Enforce strict workplace cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment maintenance standards.
Provide guidance and resolve issues raised by staff or customers.
Support management in achieving production targets and operational goals.
Perform other supervisory duties as assigned by senior management.

Requirements

Proven experience in seafood processing, with knowledge of fish cutting, filleting, and handling techniques.

Prior supervisory or team leader experience in food production / processing preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and storage regulations.

Ability to train and motivate staff to maintain high standards of performance.

Physically fit, able to handle seafood stock and lift boxes up to 20kg.

Willing to work on weekends, shifts, and public holidays when required.

Basic understanding of seafood cooking or culinary use is an advantage.
