If you’re passionate about cloud innovation and enjoy designing world-class data center infrastructure, this role offers the chance to work closely with our US MNC Tech client’s development teams and vendors to build, enhance, and optimize our global cloud footprint. You’ll play a key part in planning and designing critical systems, evaluating materials and technologies, and shaping the next generation of data centers.
- Manage and create design of data center white space which includes rack layout, hot / cold containment, network infrastructure, branch circuit distribution, power requirements, cable pathway, and projected build phases.
- Collaborate with colocation providers and internal stakeholders to deliver project design criteria and develop Basis of Design
- Coordinate with key internal teams to establish requirements and work with colocation providers to ensure requirement are met
- Participate in development of data center facilities requirements documentation
- Research new designs, materials, and construction methods for data center electrical and mechanical equipment and related components
- Create, develop, and maintain data center infrastructure site documentation, including floor plans, rack elevations, and cable matrices
- Review and evaluate RFI, RFP, and RFQ submittals
- Assist in creating global data center infrastructure standards
- Travel to new and existing data center for engineering analyses (when required)
- Meet critical deadlines for project schedules
- Participate in project coordination meetings, and clearly communicate any necessary or recommended updates to project scheduling
Requirements
The Ideal candidate should be / have :
5 to 6 years professional experience working in critical data center environmentExperience producing technical drawings using AutoCAD or Visio, with a primary focus on data centre floor layouts, IT stack planning, network / telecom infrastructure, and cable pathway designAbility to manage multiple concurrent projects and ability to work in a teamKnowledge of Data Center / Critical environment Electrical mechanical InfrastructureExperience in Vendor managementExperience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologiesUnderstanding of Industrial / commercial electrical one linesUnderstanding of BMS / EPMS control systems and data collection / trendingExperience in development of MOPs / SOPs / EOPs for carrying out systems operationsKnowledge of Data Center PUE and how its derivedReading and comprehending blueprints and building documentationMust possess proven problem-solving skillsCompletes work independently and has ability to handle most unique situations independentlyBenefits
