Job descriptionCo-ordinate the arrangements required for international gravity survey expeditions International shipments & customs clearance Travel arrangements for the team : vehicles, accommodation, flights etc Planning the project schedule for team travel and shipments Arrangements for visa applications, safety training, health checks Purchasing for survey equipment & supplies Coordinating logistics for efficient survey operations Analysis of expenditure to improve profitability Co-ordinate the purchasing of components and resources for the business Engage and negotiate with the vendors to secure the best pricing and lead times Manage the creation and organisation of quotations, purchase orders & invoices Reconciliation of invoices within our accounting software Management and internal tracking of delivery schedules Management of local couriers for last mile delivery An absolutely driven individual with excellent skills in communication, organisation and a detail focus Confident and personable in engaging with our key vendors, via email, phone calls & in-person meetings Highly organised and detail-oriented to manage multiple orders and vendor relationships simultaneously Resourceful with strong problem solving skills to address unexpected supply chain issues Experience in communicating with vendors and building professional relationships Experience in student projects Some background in science or engineering A chance to learn about the intricacies of deep tech research, product development, and strategy in a high-growth startup On-the-job training and real responsibility within the business Impactful work at the cutting edge of quantum technology Board games and curry night!
Responsibilities :
- Involved in project and operational planning for international gravity survey expeditions, as well as vendor management, supply chain and quality assurance.
Survey Expedition Planning
Work closely with our vendors (suppliers) to process the purchasing needs of the Engineering & Physics teams
