Job Description

Our client is one of the largest IT providers, specializing in delivering innovative solutions and infrastructure to their customers. They are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to support their legal and compliance functions.

Responsibilities】

  • Review tenders and projects, identifying and explaining legal risks to company stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements, including sales, support / maintenance, professional services, reseller, distribution, supplier contracts, statements of work, memoranda of understanding, letters of intent, software licensing, maintenance and support agreements, consortium and teaming agreements, prime and sub-contracts.
  • Provide legal advice on general business matters, including data protection, cybersecurity, intellectual property, and competition trade issues.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce legal policies in collaboration with management.
  • Support and monitor compliance-related matters, advising and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with corporate secretarial work and maintain the contract database, if required.
  • Handle ad-hoc regional matters as assigned.

What they're looking for】

  • Minimum 7 to 10 years post-qualification legal experience (PQE) in Singapore. Incumbents with experience in Commonwealth countries' legal systems or those with substantial in-house legal experience will be considered.
  • Relevant legal experience in the IT industry, with expertise in drafting and negotiating IT-related agreements and contracts involving customers, suppliers, and partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with business and corporate stakeholders on a variety of legal matters.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize work efficiently.
