Summary

Contribute to the origination / execution of project finance transactions (arranging & advisory) in the Energy & Infrastructure Group covering the Asia region but with a strong focus on India, under the supervision of MD in charge of India and Head of EIG Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to identifying financing and advisory opportunities for the team in the region with primary focus on India
  • Contribute to the origination of project finance and related transactions for Greenfield and brownfield projects in the key sectors of Power & Utilities, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining and Infrastructure, including refinancing and acquisition transactions in the capacity of advisor, arranger and financial advisor
  • Execute all aspects of said transactions, through negotiation of the term sheet, credit process, financial modelling, due diligence, documentation, through to Financial Close
  • Generate side business for other departments of Credit Agricole CIB where appropriate in relation to the projects followed, i.e. GIB, forex, interest rate hedging and DCM business.
  • Mentoring of the more junior team members
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining new and existing client relationships, in order to support the team in growing business in the region, including preparation of marketing related material

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Hong Kong Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy. Complete any mandatory training in line with legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.
  • Refrain from taking any steps which could lead to the removal of certification of fitness and properness to perform the role.
  • Undertake all necessary steps to satisfy the annual certification process.
  • Comply with all applicable conduct rules as prescribed by the relevant regulator.

    Minimal education level

    Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

    Academic qualification / Speciality

  • Degree in Business Administration, Finance or relevant discipline
  • Level of minimal experience

    11 years and more

    Experience

  • Minimum 10 year experience in project finance specially with knowledge of the sectors
  • Ability to deal with multi tasks and work within a dynamic and evolving environment
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Experience in dynamic sales environment with strong business development / sales skills
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Deep experience of the Indian project finance market, renewable energy and infrastructure in particular
