Roles & Responsibilities
Commissioning Engineer role involves the provision of on-site engineering support and training on EXHEAT industrial process heating equipment to a wide range of international customers. When off-site, the Commissioning Engineer will assist the client on troubleshooting and solve technical problems remotely, while keeping the manager and other internal stakeholders informed of the issues and related situation.
- Work arrangement will be approximately 40% office and 60% on-site works.
- Perform site services worldwide at onshore & offshore facilities to support the installation / commissioning / start-up / operation and maintenance of the entire range of EXHEAT heating and control products
- Carry out alone or in conjunction with client personnel, pre-commissioning /
- commissioning in accordance with supplied contract document.
- Assist with client start-up operations on site.
- Carry out an on-site investigation of reported faults / operating problems.
- Completion of rectification activities (repair / replacement of components).
- Completion of onsite reports.
- Fault finding on thyristor, contactor type control panels and associated
- instrumentation.
- Provide technical assistance and solution relating to EXHEAT equipment operation, maintenance, performance, faulty components and warranty issues.
- Review of Customer site work requirement to determine the exact scope of work and expected schedule.
- Provide technical supports for Singapore based Site / Commissioning Engineers.
- Knowledge of hazardous area working environments and working in accordance with work permits.
- Competent to carry out client modifications to control systems as required and check for circuit integrity.
- Carry out in house testing of completed in house systems and conduct customer witness tests.
- Provide Telephone Technical Support.
- To provide familiarisation and customer training on EXHEAT Equipment.
- Organisation and planning of work and future visits.
- Promotion of site services and maintenance / training packages.
Qualification & Requirements
Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Mechanical EngineeringMinimum 2 years of engineering experience in a multi-skilled environment, with at least 1-2 years in a service-related roleExperience in international service support and offshore working is an advantageFamiliarity with the Oil & Gas industry is a plus but not mandatoryStrong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systemsExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFamiliarity with industry standards and safety protocolsFrequent travel might be requiredThe Employee shall devote the whole of his / her time, attention and skill to his / her duties hereunder and in addition such other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required of him / her for the proper and efficient running of the Employer’s business.
