Roles & Responsibilities
Reputable steel trading MNC seeking a dynamic and driven Assistant Sales Manager to drive the sales force and enhance BD pipelines.
Location : CBD
Working hours : 9am – 5.30pm (Mon – Fri)
Reporting line : HOD
Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned targets for steel pipes (eg. seamless, welded API 5L , ASTM grades).
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in targeted sectors such as oil & gas, construction, shipbuilding, water infrastructure, and manufacturing .
- Prepare and deliver technical sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, distributors, and project contractors.
- Understand steel pipe specifications, grades, dimensions, standards (API, ASTM, EN, ISO) and coating / lining options.
- Advise clients on product suitability, technical requirements, and compliance with project specifications.
- Work closely with manufacturers to prepare accurate bids and proposals.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
- Coordinate with production, logistics and quality team to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Monitor project schedules and resolve issues that may impact delivery or customer satisfaction.
Requirements :
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial products sales, preferably steel pipes or related productsFamiliarity with international standards (API 5L, API 5CT, ASTM A106, ASTM A53, etc.) is an advantage.Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications .Proficient in MS Office; experience with CRM systems is a plus.Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Willingness and ability to travel when required for business purposes .Interested parties, please email to kyo@temp-team.com.sg
