    Job Description

    The Marketing Event Manager will support the planning and execution of various types of events (including tradeshows and events, in‑person, hybrid, and virtual) for internal and external audiences. This role will require strong cross‑functional communication skills, excellent attention to detail, an understanding of marketing event management deliverables, and a tenacious drive to keep projects on track. The Marketing Event Manager will facilitate collaboration with various internal departments, key opinion leaders, associations, along with external marketing and tradeshow management agencies. Key responsibilities include leading strategic initiatives for Marketing Operations that will be used to build & scale best in class marketing standards across the Asia Regional and Local Marketing teams while also supporting assigned team(s).

    Responsible for developing & leading strategic initiatives from concept to completion for Marketing Operations team.

    Responsible for scaling event marketing best practices & tradeshow standards across the Asia Marketing teams (and cross functional departments as applicable).

    Responsible for collaborating with Regional Marketing and Marketing Operations to build and maintain the Asia Sales & Marketing calendar for assigned team(s).

    Collaborate with the Global Brand and Creative team to ensure that the events and tradeshows brand specifications are accurately executed.

    Work with appropriate internal customers to develop the strategic marketing plan, identify and coordinate marketing event requirements and develop overall event project scope for assigned team(s).

    Identify, track, monitor, and communicate all event management related issues, scope changes, variances, and contingencies that may arise during the implementation of projects. Facilitate amicable solutions with the appropriate customers.

    Manage event planning meetings, notes, and assignments, leveraging and creating tracking templates as needed.

    Define the responsibilities of parties involved in the project including internal customers, management, and third‑party teams involved.

    Communicate overall project status, decisions, issues and risks, effectively trailing communications for appropriate audiences.

    Manage collaboration with marketing & tradeshow service agencies & production companies, forecast budget, manage time constraints for each project / event.

    Manage all logistics for tradeshows and events including show services, production, system shipping, coordinating marketing materials and collateral, registration management, venue sourcing, housing block management, etc.

    Plan auxiliary meetings during tradeshows and marketing events (e.g., pre‑show strategy meetings, focus / user group meetings, post grad courses, symposia) as well as attend key regional conferences to support logistics on‑site when needed (event set‑up, physician registration, AV and F&B coordination on‑site).

    Manage tradeshow and marketing event leads and report a summary report with key insights.

    Appreciation for the customer experience and skilled at working with creative & service‑oriented teams.

    Act independently to determine best practices and procedures on new or special assignments. May indirectly supervise activities of others.

    Continuously look for ways to enhance productivity through process improvements, task automation, and new technology.

    Ability to make sound decisions, think strategically, focus on detail, problem solve, and multi‑task.

    Ability to understand the customer journey and provide input and suggestions on the event strategy.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Experience

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and One Note

    Demonstrated ability to analyze data and report out key insights

    Strong organizational & project planning skills

    Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines and with minimal supervision

    Strong interpersonal skills : ability to work with and manage cross functional teams to reach common project goals

    Required Education and Training

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing / communications and / or administration

    Minimum 5‑7 years of tradeshow and / or event management experience

    Working Conditions

    Travel required 30% a year. Work flexible hours, including weekends

    Ability to perform some manual labor and lift up to 40 lbs.

    Preferred Skills and Experience

    Healthcare industry experience a plus, not a requirement
