Job description
Responsibilities
Monitor and automate application and infrastructure alerts and be able to react quickly
Ensure system stability and uptime for all tools and application under this team's management. This includes application and infrastructure / cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and user support
Identify and develop areas of improvement and be able to accurately assess business risk to help prioritize remediation
Setup, manage, and support data file downloads and processing
Administer outstanding issues are handed off to other regions and necessary follow-ups
Flexible to work over weekends and evening time for changes and meetings
Be the go-to person for your area of responsibility - Build subject matter expertise
Qualifications / Skills Required
Experience supporting front office trading applications are essential
Basic knowledge of Fixed Ie ormodities products.
5+ years professional experience in Python, Shell, and SQL
Experience with C# programming is good to have
Development in SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems within Linux, Unix, and / or Windows environments
Knowledge around DevOps tools, ideally Docker / Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, and AWS
Self-starter with ability to quickly pick up new concepts and technologies (Public Cloud, Serverless architecture, etc.)
Previous experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, OpsGenie, and ServiceNow)
