Job description

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and automate application and infrastructure alerts and be able to react quickly
  • Ensure system stability and uptime for all tools and application under this team's management. This includes application and infrastructure / cloud monitoring, troubleshooting and user support
  • Identify and develop areas of improvement and be able to accurately assess business risk to help prioritize remediation
  • Setup, manage, and support data file downloads and processing
  • Administer outstanding issues are handed off to other regions and necessary follow-ups
  • Flexible to work over weekends and evening time for changes and meetings
  • Be the go-to person for your area of responsibility - Build subject matter expertise

Qualifications / Skills Required

  • Experience supporting front office trading applications are essential
  • Basic knowledge of Fixed Ie ormodities products.
  • 5+ years professional experience in Python, Shell, and SQL
  • Experience with C# programming is good to have
  • Development in SQL skills and knowledge of various database systems within Linux, Unix, and / or Windows environments
  • Knowledge around DevOps tools, ideally Docker / Kubernetes, Kafka, Maven, and AWS
  • Self-starter with ability to quickly pick up new concepts and technologies (Public Cloud, Serverless architecture, etc.)
  • Previous experience with monitoring tools (DataDog, OpsGenie, and ServiceNow)
