Roles & Responsibilities
Requirements :
- Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or adjacent field
- Relevant Certification as First Class Marine Engineer or Electrotechnical Officer
- 10+ years’ of related field and project planning experience
- Broad technical expertise, including ship management, conversions and project management
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage large, complex projects
- Enterprise-level computer platform experience, including MS Office and MS Project
Major Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Plan all technical aspects of the programs and projectsDevelop the technical solutions supporting the Company service portfolioDeliver all technical aspects of the project in accordance with the planWork with the Director to agree on the technical resource required, forecast and manage resource costs throughout the projectsEnsure that any and all external design works are undertaken by suitably qualified and experienced teams which are provided with clearly defined scope culminating in agreed costs and timescalesWork with the Project Managers to monitor and report on the technical team’s progress on all required deliverablesEnsure every effort is undertaken to align the design with construction teams, providing themwith assistance to deliver the project
Lead an installation team, manage contract requirements, and assist the sales team in the preparation of job estimates, proposals and presentationsOverall responsibility for on-time delivery of projects, within the scope and on budget, as well as the overall quality of project deliveryOwnership of project financial performance including accurate / on-time reporting and achieving targets; Cost / revenue forecasting; Billings, receivables and payables management; Accruals; Working capital management.Maintain customer satisfaction at acceptable levels and promptly resolve customer issuesMonitor and proactively manage overall project riskMonitor and manage subcontractors and subcontractor riskManage all site instructions, change orders, puts and takes, and drive generation and collection of change orders for out-of-scope workDevelop effective partnerships and manage relationships with subcontractors to ensure an adequate pool of resources is availableManage selection and oversight of subcontractors for different jobs in conjunction, where appropriate, with the supply team.Ensure projects are resourced properly with adequate headcount and skillsets; Collaborate with other managers / leaders to ensure that the most effective resources are allocated to projectsBuild effective teams committed to organizational goals and foster collaboration among team members and between teams.Develop strong relationships with sales and other managers / leaders so as to ensure effective sales to operations handovers, optimized utilization of resources, optimized procurement, optimized recruitment and selection process, and maximized pull-through of projectsBe the change management leader for the team and aggressively implement agreed to initiativesEnsure applicable local and industry codes and standards are upheldEnsure a safe and healthy work environment through effective communication, training, equipment / vehicle maintenance and facilities improvementTell employers what skills you have
