Roles & Responsibilities
Brewin Design Office is looking for a Senior Design Manager to be part of our core design team. This role is available to start immediately and will be based in our Singapore office. A minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience , including experience with luxury high-end residential projects, is required.
Responsibilities :
Design :Undertake research to form design conceptsAll rounded design involvement which includes Concept Design, Space Planning, Documentation, Joinery Detailing and CoordinationUndertake Design Development, coordinating with external consultants related to the project, and resolving design and implementation challengesPrepare design solutions that include sketches, mood boards, CAD drawings and models, prototypesWork with the production team during technical design, production and delivery of a project to ensure the design vision and client requirements are meClient-Facing / Presentations :Work closely with clients to determine briefs, narratives, technical challenges, and develop the project budget and scheduleEffectively communicate design ideas, narrative and project development through professional presentations to management, clients and other key stakeholdersIndependently take on meetings, presentations, and travel where requiredProject Management :Professionally manage timelines in all design stages of work to ensure deliverables are metAdhering to agreed schedules and managing project resources with a commercial awareness of project financesCommunication and coordination with internal and external stakeholders, including architect, contractors, sub-contractors, local authorities, and other consultants to ensure project is on schedule, within budget, and completed to the highest professional standardsAdministrate on-site coordinationRequirements :
- Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience, including experience with luxury high-end residential projects
- Strong background in interior design and history of interior design
- Strong all round interior design skills to include Concept Design, Space Planning, Documentation, Joinery Detailing and Coordination
- Ability to present and communicate ideas clearly verbally and in writing – Clarity of thought and eloquence in delivery
- Excellent client liaison skills
- Ability to negotiate with and confidently manage a variety of consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers
- Demonstrated project and team management experience through typical stages of work alongside production and site management.
- Demonstrated experience going through a full tender process

Career Progression :
- Brewin Design Office is a firm with a horizontal organization structure with few hierarchical layers.
- The Senior Design Manager is expected to operate with initiative, and to make decisions independently in the interest of the project and of the firm. They are responsible for the projects under their care, including being responsible for the quality of work produced by the overall team, i.e. including work delegated to other members of the team, with or without the oversight of the Design Principal.
- Senior Design Managers that have shown commitment and the ability to operate as a leader will have the opportunity to progress to the Associate level, which among others, has additional responsibility for the P&L and delivery of projects, success of the team and of projects, controlling manpower resources, and client and staff management responsibilities.
