Serve as the primary subject matter expert by developing policies and procedures related to procurement and planning.
Identify and analyze sales trends and influencing factors, incorporating this analysis into forecasting and inventory planning.
Build strong relationships with key suppliers of food and beverage raw materials, ingredients, and packaging to meet business needs.
Regularly assess cost-saving opportunities and ensure that product prices align with current market rates, are sourced efficiently, and provide optimal value for the business.
Lead accurate demand forecasting in collaboration with sales and marketing by effectively monitoring and communicating forecasts, changes, inventory estimates, supply conditions, business risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies.
Oversee the purchasing system, Costpoint, and provide strategic direction on procurement actions, approval workflows, thresholds, and tracking for Purchase Requests and Purchase Orders.
Stay informed about import / export regulations and ensure compliance, providing training and guidance to staff as needed.
skills and experience required
Preferably candidates with at least 5 years of sourcing and purchasing experience in food industry.
