Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities :

• Administer and maintain PostgreSQL and Sybase ASE / IQ databases, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching.
• Implement and manage High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Monitor performance and perform query tuning , index optimization, and capacity planning.
• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and support change management.
• Develop and maintain scripts (e.g., Shell , Python ) to automate DBA tasks.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams on deployments and CI / CD processes.
• Ensure database security , access control , and compliance with internal policies.
• Maintain documentation and support global infrastructure activities (e.g., DR drills, maintenance windows).
