Roles & Responsibilities
As an Ambulance Driver, the safety of patients and crew are in your hands. You will be part of a 2-men or 3-men team providing safe and efficient ambulance transport for those in need. You will carry out operator-level maintenance of the vehicles including cleanliness and routine safety inspections to ensure the vehicles are in good working conditions before use. LTA requirements and Traffic Police regulations for road safety must be observed at all times. Hope provides professional training for Ambulance Drivers, where you can be certified as a medic.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency and non-emergency activation across a range of cases
- Ensure safe and prompt conveyance of patients and assist Paramedics in providing care for patients
- Offer assistance to patients or respond to emergencies alongside the crew when needed, as advised by the paramedic
- Perform duties pertaining to the care and maintenance of the ambulance, such as cleaning, decontaminating and checking of the vehicle and equipment when needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and servicing, and report faults and defects promptly
- Assist Fleet Manager in ensuring that vehicles are at a state of operational readiness at all times, and to initiate any service or repairs according to the company’s standard operating protocol.
- Ability to safely handle different models of ambulance across all road conditions, and in accordance with traffic rules and safety regulations, as well as driving protocols pre-set by the company
- Be well-informed of road conditions in order to efficiently plan driving routes
Position Requirements
Possess a Singapore Class 3 / 4 driving licenceDefensive Driving License preferredGood driving record with at least 3 years of driving experience.First Aid Trained / BCLS certified candidates are preferredKnowledge of hospital policies and procedures an advantageGood interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with all levels of staffPhysically fit and able to commit to irregular shift-work, including weekends and public holidaysGood command of English; ability to speak dialects and multiple languages an advantageRelevant working experiences in SAF or SCDF will be advantageousTell employers what skills you have
