About - Maritime Claims & Services (MCS)

Maritime Claims & Services Pte Ltd (MCS), A well-established ISO Accredited Marine Consultancy & Surveying Company in Singapore was formed in 1997 to provide comprehensive range of services to the shipping industry.
The Company are P&I Correspondents, Consultants to legal firms, Vetting Inspectors, Owner's representatives, and Shipping Agents. Clients include Governments, local & overseas law firms, Ship-owners & Charterers.
Assignments include collision & accident investigations, expert witness attendance, claims handling, pre-purchase & specialized surveys, and ship assessment & vetting.

Purpose & Scope

MCS requires a self-motivated, intelligent Class 1 Master Mariner and / or Marine Engineer Class I to join the firm.

Job Requirements

The applicant must be fluent in written & spoken English as they are required to write a formal report to our clients and have at least 2 years of sailing experience as a Senior Officer {Master / Chief Officer (Combined) OR Chief Engineer / First Engineer (Combined)} on dry-cargo vessels. He or she should preferably have surveying and auditing experience.

The applicant will be based in Singapore and must be prepared to travel throughout the Asia-Pacificregion.

On-board training will be provided for the specialized functions of the job.

Required Skills and Qualification

Class 1 Master Mariner and / or Marine Engineer Class I

Salary is in Singapore Dollars.

Salary ranges : $7,000 to $10,000 / month plus job contribution-based bonus.

Singapore taxation is applicable.
