Roles & Responsibilities

Machinist (Aviation / East / Basic up to $2500 / Allowances)

The Role :

• Understand and adhere to all work instructions associated with the work you are performing.
• Comply with all company and safety rules and regulations during course of duties. ( Proper PPE )
• Perform jobs in priority order unless instructed otherwise.
• IAW the required technical data referred to in your job traveler.
• Set up machining fixtures, tooling and inserts for turning, grinding or milling.
• Measure, mark and scribe dimensional and reference points on materials.
• Machine part while monitoring cutting action of machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction.
• Perform sheetmetal and pressure testing as required.
• Use indicators, calipers, venires, micrometers
• Request on-machine inspections as required.
• Perform TPM’S.
• Report nonconformance’s related to parts, paper work, equipment, tooling or materials.
• Maintain good housekeeping practices on machines and in work area.
