[What you will be working on]

What you will be working on:

As a Data Scientist for Computer Vision, you will work within a team focused on AI experimentation and capability development covering modalities such as videos and images as well as extending into the audio space. These key AI capabilities help in enhancing the understanding of diverse information domains. You will play a key role in fostering innovation and building the foundation for cutting-edge AI solutions.

Capability Development through AI Experimentation

• Assist in defining and executing a strategic roadmap for AI capability building, emphasizing computer vision and multimodal AI.

• Conducting advanced AI experiments, exploring innovative approaches to address public sector challenges.

• Build and implement advanced AI systems and algorithms in computer vision and multimodal AI.

• Collaborate with AI Engineers and fellow Data Scientists to drive innovation in object detection, image segmentation, video analysis, and beyond.

• Design and execute experiments exploring emerging techniques such as Vision Language Models (VLMs) and Large Multimodal Models (LMMs).

• Leverage state-of-the-art image and video generation models for synthetic media creation, dataset augmentation, and content pipeline enhancements.

Stakeholder engagement, knowledge sharing and collaboration

• Engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align AI initiatives with organizational and public sector priorities, supporting robust production deployment.

• Demonstrate the potential impact of AI capabilities through prototypes and demonstrations.

• Contribute to best practices in AI experimentation, model development, and solution deployment while actively participating in knowledge-sharing initiatives within a collaborative ecosystem.

What we are looking for:

• A degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Python, with hands-on experience using deep learning frameworks like PyTorch and computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.

• Familiarity with multimodal AI systems and practical experience with models (e.g., CLIP, Qwen-VL, LLaVA, InternVL, MiniCPM-o).

• Experience with generative models for image and video synthesis (e.g., GANs, diffusion models) and deepfake detection techniques is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to design experiments that optimize model performance and translate research into practice.

• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
