Job descriptionInspect shading systems for wear and tear. Repair damaged fabrics, slats, cords, or motors. Replace faulty components (gears, chains, remotes, sensors). Provide periodic servicing (lubrication, tightening, adjustments). Install and configure motorized blinds / shades (Somfy, Dooya, etc.). Integrate with smart home systems (remote controls, timers, smart apps). Troubleshoot electrical or programming issues. Advise customers on suitable shading options (material, color, UV protection, waterproofing). Provide quotations based on measurements and client requirements. Educate clients on proper use and care of shading products. Work at heights safely (ladders, scaffolding). Follow electrical and building safety codes. Use proper tools and PPE (personal protective equipment). Hands-on technical skills (carpentry, drilling, electrical wiring). Knowledge of shading materials and mechanisms. Ability to read technical drawings / installation manuals. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving. Good communication with customers and team members.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Installation
- Measure, cut, and fit shading systems (roller blinds, venetian blinds, vertical blinds, outdoor awnings, pergola shades, zip blinds, solar films, etc.).
- Mount brackets, tracks, and hardware on walls, ceilings, or window frames.
- Ensure proper alignment and smooth operation of manual or motorized shades.
