To evaluate individual credit applications and monitor / review existing transactions in the field of Securitization and ARPS as a credit analyst.
To prepare the recommendation memorandum for credit approvers on the Credit Applications and Credit Rating Applications.
To assist business head in screening new / potential transactions to provide provisional assessment / recommendation to the front offices from the credit perspective.
To monitor / review existing transactions including covenants check and prepare monitoring report as to problem loans to head office.
Guide team members and educate the front office to follow the bank’s credit rules and procedures for credit ratings.
To support and promote initiatives, including the enhancement of the credit risk management framework.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Contribute to the promotion of the department's credit strategy and initiative.
Contribute to a healthy balance sheet for the Branches in the region by assessing credit applications and only recommending credit worthy proposals for approval.
Conduct thorough review of credit applications including review of projection modelling to assess credit risk by leveraging information from various sources. Recommend changes where necessary to mitigate risks.
Assist in preparation and review of memos required for approval of credit application. Memos to include detailed analysis of transaction background, structure of transactions, creditworthiness of relevant parties, and industry and regulatory environment.
Monitor the existing portfolio through regular review of borrower ratings to ensure proper calculation of credit costs.
Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders within MUFG.
Work in partnership with colleagues in the Product Offices and in the Branches to understand pipeline transactions and their possible risks to act as a sounding board and provide advice on feasibility of deal and accurately assess credit applications.
Work in partnership with colleagues in the Product Offices and in the Branches to negotiate recommended solutions to make bankable structure.
Work in partnership with colleagues in credit / risk department across the region to best practice on Credit Risk assessment.
Act as a role model to team members and adhere to all company policies / guidelines.
Support, coach, and guide team on complex credit applications.
Work on ad-hoc credit- related projects / credit policy papers.
Maintain good working knowledge of industry trends, products, relevant laws and regulations in order to understand clients’ business and relevant country’s economic state.
Degree qualified.
Minimum 5yrs of experience in credit analysis or structured finance. Experience in securitization is preferred due to the nature of the role.
Experience in driving or contributing to the strategic initiatives, projects or process improvements.
Strong analytical skills to identify key credit risk factors.
Demonstrate strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence stakeholders through data driven analysis and structured reasoning. Sound knowledge of economic environment in the region.
