We are looking for a motivated and driven Medical Laboratory Technologist to support Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) services under SGH Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring safe, reliable and compliant POCT services across clinical areas, in alignment with MOH and laboratory accreditation requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support the operation and governance of POCT services under the care of Clinical Biochemistry Laboratory
Conduct method validation and verification of POCT devices and assays
Maintain, review and update POCT related documentation
Conduct and oversee quality assurance (QA) activities (e.g. assay performance monitoring, audits and incident investigations)
Conduct training and competency assessment for designated trainers
Support POCT connectivity, middleware and LIS integration where applicable
Work closely with Clinicians, Nursing, IT Department, Finance, vendors and relevant stakeholders to ensure successful POCT deployment
Participate in continuous quality improvement and service development initiatives
Job requirements
Degree in Biomedical Science, Life Sciences or its equivalent
Candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience with exposure to Clinical Biochemistry and / or POCT will be preferred. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and in a team
Meticulous, responsible and committed to laboratory quality and patient safety
Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
