Senior Instrument Analyst (F&B), Singapore

As a Senior Instrument Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and managing laboratory instrumentation and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with industry standards. This role involves troubleshooting, maintaining and calibrating instruments as well as supporting analytical projects and data interpretation. You will report directly to QC Director, Singapore.

The Position :

  • Conduct routine Food Safety Lab (FSL) accredited test analysis.
  • Support ISO17025 Quality and Technical systems and FSL inventory
  • Operate various analytical instruments including GC, GC-MS, LC-MS-MS, ICP-MS, UPLC.
  • Assist in investigation and resolution of instrument-related issues
  • Develop methods for various food contaminants and validate new and revised analytical methods
  • Perform troubleshooting of QC deviations related to chemical analysis
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality systems
  • Stay up-to-date on new technologies and advancements in analytical instrumentation
  • Take responsibility as required for specific projects and / or specific tasks in general laboratory administration and management
  • Be responsible for health, safety, hygiene, ethical and financial integrity of all projects involved
  • Recognize the needs and desire to undertake personal development as the role develops

The Ideal Candidate :

  • Bachelor’s Degree Analytical, Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in advance analytical chemistry, managed food contaminants and routine analysis.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining analytical laboratory instruments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with familiarity with Laboratory Safety and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office application
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge in chemistry analysis and interpretations in food matrix
  • A strong team player, independent, meticulous and analytical
  • Excellent skill in writing technical reports and work instructions.
  • Prior knowledge in ISO / IEC 17025 accreditation process and requirements
