We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in cost estimation and quantity surveying for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
You will play a key role in cost management, tendering, contract administration, and project financial control, ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection works
- Assist in developing overall project costing and budget planning
- Prepare and issue tender documents for M&E works
- Evaluate tender submissions and provide recommendations based on cost, quality, and compliance
- Analyse M&E drawings and specifications to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Support contract administration for M&E-related works
- Conduct site measurements, verify quantities, and prepare interim valuations for progress claims
- Assess and manage variations and change orders, providing cost impact analysis and justifications
- Identify potential risks in M&E works and recommend mitigation strategies
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure proper integration of M&E systems into the overall project
Qualifications & Requirements
- Degree / Diploma / Specialist Diploma / Advanced Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, M&E Engineering, or equivalent from a recognised institution
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
- Experience in M&E cost estimation is highly advantageous
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
