The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of kitchen operations and uphold the restaurant’s Michelin-level standards. Culinary Execution
Ensure consistency, quality, and precision in all dishes prepared and served. Maintain exceptional standards of mise en place, plating, and presentation. Lead and supervise assigned sections during service to ensure flawless execution. Leadership and Training
Support the Head Chef in managing and mentoring the kitchen team. Conduct on-the-job training for junior chefs to uphold fine dining techniques and discipline. Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, and excellence. Menu Development and Innovation
Collaborate with the Head Chef in creating and testing new menu items. Contribute creative ideas that align with the restaurant’s philosophy and seasonal produce. Oversee daily ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships. Ensure compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) hygiene and safety regulations. Manage cost control and minimize waste without compromising quality. Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in fine dining or Michelin-starred restaurants. Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent understanding of modern cooking techniques and food safety standards. Passionate about culinary innovation, continuous learning, and perfection in detail.
