Job description

We have a vacancy for a SPED Teacher Assistant tosupport children with moderate to severe special needs. This is NOTa full-time job. Working hours are fixed from Monday to Friday,9 : 00AM to 1 : 30PM (23 hours per week).

Role &Responsibilities

Assist the teacher to support the children whereneeded
Help the teacher to set up theclassroom to facilitate lessons
Prepareresources as instructed by teachers
Cleanteaching aids and resources; sterilise toys / resources
Maintain a safe, neat and clean environment
Support children during snack time, grooming andtoileting
Carry out other tasks as assigned bythe teacher

Qualifications &Experience

Prefer atleast 5 ‘O’ level credits

Certificate inSpecial Education or a related field is an advantage

Up to 3 years experience working with children withspecial needs is an advantage

Applicants withno experience will be considered if candidate demonstrates a stronginterest to work with children with special needs

Good communication skills

Patientand understanding when working with children with specialneeds

Salary : Monthly rated. Rangeis $900 - 1300.
