Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities :

  • Define Item, Bill of Material & Process routing for new products.
  • Establish manufacturing processes and assembly work instructions based on the customer’s specification and provide training to technicians.
  • Design Jigs and Fixtures to aid in the manufacturing process, especially on welding.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Define process required, study and special process or tooling requirements.
  • Follow up and evaluate processes on the production floor.
  • Develop 3D model and generate 2D flat pattern based on Customer drawing.
  • 3D Assembly / Drawing development in Solid Edge (For assembly parts and structures)
  • Manage Engineering Change Request (ECR) process for NPI projects, for instance get approval from customers and DFM proposals.
  • Implementation of ECN (Engineering Change Notifications) within the company and with manufacturing partners to account for all changes.
  • Manage NPI project related customer documentation (drawings, specifications, test procedures, work instructions etc.).
  • Project Planning on Engineering Activities
  • Able to do technical documentation review, Creation of Process flow & PFMEA.
  • Project analysis, Communication with Customers as an expertise.

Requirements :

  • The candidate must possess at least Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • At least 3-5 years of NPI Engineering in manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD / Solid Edge and ERP preferred.
  • Familiar with sheet metal process cutting, bending, welding, and painting processes
  • Knowledge & direct experience in electrical and mechanical manufacturing operations, new product introductions, product development and production.
  • Able to perform root cause analysis and resolve problems during assembly.
  • Good Communication, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Independent worker who can work well with minimal supervision.
