Reports to :  Head, Technical Services

Responsibilities :

• Technical Support :
• Provide technical support to vessels managed by company.
• Attend to vessels as required.
• Planned Maintenance Monitoring :
• Oversee vessels' planned maintenance schedules.
• Implement improvements as necessary.
• Regulatory Compliance :
• Ensure Masters and Chief Engineers are updated on statutory instruments and amendments issued by regulatory bodies.
• Technical Input :
• Provide input for service engagements and spare part procurement for vessels.
• Role Substitution :
• Act as 1st deputy DPA / CSO during the absence of the main holder.
• Cover duties of Head, Technical Services during their absence.
• Additional Delegated Duties :
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Head, Technical Services (HTS).

Requirements

Requirements on Technical Expertise :

Deep Electrical Knowledge :  A strong understanding of electrical principles, AC / DC systems, power distribution, and control systems. This includes knowledge of :

Management and Communication :

Supervisory Skills :  Ability to lead and manage a team of electricians and technicians.

Relevant Qualifications :  A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications.
