Roles & Responsibilities
1. Responsible for food preparation with variety and according to guidelines from HPB nutrition guidelines
- Regular review and communication with RO of meal plan
- Cook foods in different good groups to ensure variety of nutrition
- Avoid food wastage
- Informing of absence in advance and making arrangements with covering colleague(s) to ensure no disruption to operations
- Support events that involves catering to large numbers (i.e. >
50) of resident / staff / visitors at in-house organised events
2. Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes
Maintain food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with regulationsClean and sanitize work areas, equipment and utensils on a regular basisAttend Food Safety Course and renewals as necessary3. Support the ordering of groceries and ingredients
Ensure ingredients and products are freshSubmission of ingredient orders in a timely manner to ensure ample supply of stockSpend within allocated budgetMonitor food prices and highlight need for review of budget or supplier4. Support inventory of DIK food rations and household supplies
Keep an up to date inventory of supplies in the food ration room and highlight needs in advance to request for necessary DIKDeliver household supplies to the dorms on a regular basisRequirements :
Certificate in higher NITEC or 'A', 'O' or 'N' levelsPreferably minimum 2 years of relevant work experienceAbility to work as part of a team, collaborating on home eventsAbility to work shiftsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsFlexible and adaptableTell employers what skills you have
