About the Company

Our client is a leading precision engineering and manufacturing partner for the global oil and gas industry. They are a critical supplier to the world's largest oilfield equipment OEMs, specializing in the production of high-quality, mission-critical components like surface wellheads and large-size connectors.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and innovative R&D Engineer to take a leadership role in the development of next-generation surface wellhead solutions. You will lead junior engineers, drive innovation from concept to completion, and play a pivotal role in maintaining the company's position at the forefront of manufacturing technology.

This is a key role for a technical expert with a proven track record of leading complex design projects and a passion for solving complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

Innovation & Product Development : Lead R&D projects focused on new Surface Wellhead Products and Large Size Connectors. You will oversee the entire development lifecycle, from design and material research to testing and validation, ensuring all solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability.
Team Leadership & Mentorship : Manage and mentor a team of R&D engineers, guiding their technical development and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Technical Excellence & Governance : Review and approve all design packages, including layouts, stress calculations, and tolerance studies. You will act as the go-to technical expert for the global sales and operations teams and be responsible for creating and improving product design standards.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.

A minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with a significant focus on the design and development of oil and gas surface wellhead products .

Proven experience in leading and mentoring R&D or project engineering teams.

A strong understanding of relevant industry standards (e.g., API) and a detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset.
