JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a hands-on Systems Administrator to join our infrastructure and operations team. The right candidate should have great attention to detail, as well as experience with software deployment and monitoring.

We require a person with excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Those skills must complement an ability and desire to learn new environments, technologies, and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and monitor existing production systems and networks to ensure stability and reliability, addressing any issues that arise.
  • Reliably deploy our software suite to multiple environments, while keeping the platform stable.
  • Make approved configuration changes to our environments when they are requested by customers or internal team members.
  • Keep our environments secure and stable with regular software patching and maintenance.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training / experience) in Software / Computer / Network Engineering Technology
  • 2+ years of technical experience
  • Hands-on experience working in production environments for administration and monitoring
  • Experience with traditional software platforms based on Windows, .NET (C#) and SQL Server
  • Experience with server administration in a Cloud environment, ideally AWS
  • Experience with Linux / Unix operating systems and open source tools
  • Experience with scripting languages, such as Powershell on Windows or Python on Linux
