Matcha Tea Barista (Full-Time)
📍Location: Kyo Teahouse, 18 Cross Street (Chinatown)

💼 Employment Type: Full-Time (Rotating shifts - weekdays, weekends & public holidays)

🇸🇬 Eligibility: Singaporeans and PRs only
📈 Salary Range: $2,200 - $2,800

🕒 Rotating Shifts Hours: 5 days work week
8:30am – 6:30pm
10:00am – 9:30pm
12:30pm – 9:30pm

Rooted in a farm-to-cup philosophy, we work closely with tea farms and makers to bring you thoughtfully sourced matcha, handcrafted teas, and tea-based desserts. As the sister brand of KYO KOHEE, KYO TEAHOUSE carries the same heart, with a gentle focus on tea and the simple comforts it brings.

As part of KYO's launch, we’re looking for passionate Matcha Baristas and Senior Matcha Baristas to join our founding team. You’ll play a key role in crafting our tea offerings and shaping the calm, welcoming experience we hope every guest finds at KYO.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Brew each drink with intention and consistency, balancing precision with pride in the craft
• Work efficiently in a busy tea bar without compromising on quality
• Stay focused and steady during peak periods, delivering calm, consistent service
• Engage warmly with customers, offering thoughtful recommendations and a memorable tea experience
• Be a tea ambassador—share product knowledge and introduce guests to the joy of tea
• Take pride in maintaining a clean, well-organised tea space—every detail reflects our brand
• Collaborate with teammates and support smooth day-to-day operations, even during high volume
• Monitor inventory and restock mindfully to keep every cup fresh and consistent
• Handle equipment with care—from chasen whisks to blenders, everything has its place
• Show up dependable, positive, and ready to bring good energy into the space
• Uphold KYO’s service and brand standards in every interaction

What We’re Looking For

• Individuals who are passionate, reliable, and self-motivated—proactive team players who take initiative with care and pride in what they do.
• 5 & 6-day work week, including weekends and public holidays
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in F&B or café operations (tea or matcha experience is a bonus)
• Confident in preparing tea-based drinks with consistency and attention to detail
• Calm, focused, and able to stay composed under pressure
• Able to handle a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks without losing focus
• Works closely with the team to keep operations running smoothly, especially during busy periods
• Good communication skills with both customers and teammates
• Strong sense of hygiene, cleanliness, and workspace organisation
• Genuinely care about service, tea, and creating a good experience for others
• A dependable team player who brings good energy and shows up ready to work
