Roles & Responsibilities

Job Scope:
• Manage assigned commodity groups for specific manufacturing plants or regions
• Initiate and execute cost reduction programs, including total cost benchmarking and opportunity identification
• Conduct periodic price and contract reviews, and negotiate with suppliers
• Manage procurement workflows in SAP and ensure accurate loading of price agreements
• Perform supplier management activities, including new supplier onboarding, agreements, T&C checklists, periodic business reviews, scorecards, and audits
• Collaborate with management, manufacturing engineering, R&D, product marketing, and project teams on new product launches, transfers, and product improvement initiatives
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies, including low-cost and offshore sourcing, to support manufacturing and customer requirements
• Ensure timely delivery of services and compliance with quality standards
• Identify, address, and resolve potential supplier issues proactively

Requirements:
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in strategic procurement or purchasing within a manufacturing environment
• Good knowledge of manufacturing processes such as casting, sheet metal fabrication, plastic injection molding, and precision machining
• • Good communication, analytical, and proactive problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with commercial terms and conditions
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities
