The company seeks a highly motivated and strategic Operations Manager to lead our service, maintenance, and modernization divisions. This critical role demands proven leadership skills and a highly collaborative approach to drive operational efficiency, superior client satisfaction, and absolute statutory compliance with all Singapore regulations.
Core Responsibilities
1. BCA Compliance & Regulatory Assurance (Critical Focus)
- Serve as the in-house subject matter expert for all Singapore BCA regulations governing lifts and escalators (e.g., BMSM Regulations, PTO protocols, MCP requirements).
- Directly ensure that all maintenance, service, and project work meets or exceeds mandated safety and quality standards, minimizing liability.
- Proactively manage all necessary regulatory documentation, reporting, and serve as the primary liaison for BCA audits or official inquiries.
2. Leadership & Team Development
Provide proven leadership to field operations staff (technicians, supervisors), cultivating a high-performance culture founded on accountability and safety.Implement coaching, training, and mentorship programs to foster continuous improvement and technical competency across the team.Champion a highly collaborative environment, ensuring fluid communication and integrated workflow between field, project, and administrative teams.3. Operational Performance & Financial Health
Oversee and optimize all operational workflows, including dispatching, scheduling, repair prioritization, and resource allocation to meet contractual obligations efficiently.Manage departmental budgets, control labour and material costs, and continuously identify strategic process improvements to drive profitability.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as uptime, response times, and service quality, using data to inform tactical decisions.4. Client & Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong, long-term professional relationships with key clients, acting as the senior point of escalation for complex technical or service-related concerns.Ensure service delivery consistently exceeds client expectations, reinforcing company’s reputation for reliability and value.Candidate Profile & Requirements
Experience : Minimum 7+ years in a senior operations or management role specifically within the lift / escalator industry in Singapore .Regulatory Expertise : Non-negotiable, in-depth, demonstrable experience with Singapore BCA compliance frameworks and associated administrative requirements.Leadership : Demonstrated success in leading, developing, and motivating technical teams. Must be a natural collaborator.Education : Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline preferred.Attributes : Must be highly motivated , autonomous, strategic in problem-solving, and comfortable driving complex projects simultaneously.Interested applicants, please click APPLY NOW
