Role Overview

The Maritime Sales & Digital

Manager will drive new business and expand existing

relationships in the maritime sector, focusing on connectivity,

cybersecurity, and digital solutions. This role combines

sales leadership with

digital solution evangelism , ensuring

Marlink remains the trusted partner for shipowners, operators, and

maritime stakeholders across APAC. The successful candidate will be

a strong closer with proven ability to generate new business while

also nurturing long-term client relationships to maximize revenue

growth and retention.

Key

Responsibilities

Sales &

Business Development

  • Identify, pursue, and

close new business opportunities in maritime connectivity, IT, and

cyber solutions.

  • Manage and lead the full
  • sales cycle : prospecting, solution design, proposal development,

    contract negotiation, and closing.

  • Target
  • shipowners and ship managers, with Singapore as the primary base to

    expand Marlink's customer footprint.

  • Develop
  • and execute account plans for key customers and high-potential

    regions.

    Digital Transformation Leadership

  • Promote Marlink's portfolio of digital
  • solutions (cybersecurity, IT-as-a-Service, crew welfare, IoT / OT,

    smart shipping).

  • Act as a trusted advisor to
  • customers on their digitalization journey, aligning Marlink's

    offerings with operational needs.

  • Translate
  • technical capabilities into clear business benefits for C-level

    executives and decision makers.

    Stakeholder

    & Partner Engagement

  • Build long-term,
  • value-based relationships with shipowners, managers, and maritime

    ecosystem partners.

  • Collaborate with internal
  • teams (technical pre-sales, service delivery, customer support) to

    ensure successful project execution.

    Represent Marlink at industry events, conferences, and customer

    workshops.

    Commercial Excellence

  • Deliver on annual sales targets, pipeline
  • goals, and profitability metrics.

  • Maintain
  • accurate sales forecasts, pipeline visibility, and CRM reporting.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities,
  • and customer feedback to shape go-to-market

    strategies.

    Qualifications &

    Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in
  • Business, Engineering, Maritime Studies, or related field.

  • 5-8+ years of sales experience, preferably in
  • maritime ICT or cybersecurity.

  • Proven success
  • in new business acquisition and achieving sales targets.

  • Strong knowledge of maritime operations,
  • digitalization trends, and regulatory landscape (IMO cyber

    compliance, ESG, etc.) is preferred.

    Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset : self-motivated,
  • independent, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment, similar to

    a startup setting.

  • Willingness to travel
  • regionally and occasionally

    globally.
