The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced General Practitioner to join our team as a Permanent Locum Doctor. This full-time role offers the stability of a permanent position with the variety of a locum. You will rotate across our clinic locations to ensure seamless patient care, cover doctor leave, and support new clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care consultations, diagnosis, and treatment for acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct health screenings and post-screening consultations, interpret results, and advise on follow-up plans.
- Manage chronic diseases (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia) with regular follow-ups and patient education.
- Proactively engage in patient health education and promotion, including vaccinations, lifestyle advice, and health screening recommendations.
- Perform minor medical procedures (e.g., wound dressing, suturing, minor surgical excisions).
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with clinic assistants, nurses, and allied health professionals (physiotherapists and acupuncturists) to ensure integrated and coordinated patient care.
- Adhere strictly to the professional code of conduct, clinical best practices, and all regulatory requirements set forth by the Ministry of Health (MOH) and Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
- Support the medical team by covering for doctors on leave, assisting with clinic operations during peak periods, and contributing to the overall smooth running of the clinics.
Requirements
MBBS / M.D or equivalent with Full Registration with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).GDFM or MMed (Family Medicine) preferred; other special-interest diplomas are an advantage.Minimum 5 years’ working experience in primary care or family medicine is preferred.Skills & Attributes
Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.Strong communication and interpersonal abilities; fluency in English and a second language (e.g., Mandarin, Malay) is an advantage.Adaptable and comfortable working in different environments.Independent, resourceful, and effective in managing diverse patient loads.Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused.Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.Proficient in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.Work Schedule and Hourly Rate
