About the Company

Our client is launching a new and distinctive F&B concept that redefines the cafe experience. This cafe will be a culinary destination for cafe lovers, specializing in a curated menu of American classics. This groundbreaking venture will offer an authentic taste of New York's iconic culinary scene, promising an unparalleled experience for every diner.

About the Job

As the Head Chef , you will be the driving force behind the culinary vision of this new cafe. You will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, ensuring the menu's success, and upholding the highest standards of food quality and safety. Your key responsibilities include :

  • Culinary Leadership : Lead the kitchen team in the preparation of a focused menu of cafe classics, ensuring every dish meets the restaurant's high standards for taste, presentation, and consistency. You will also oversee all prep, service, and cleaning duties.
  • Menu Development & Innovation : Take charge of the development and refinement of the menu, bringing a creative vision to the cafe's American classics.
  • Operational Management : Manage all aspects of the kitchen's operations, including inventory, ordering, and maintaining a clean and organized work station. You will also be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Team Management & Training : Train and mentor the kitchen staff, fostering a positive, high-energy environment built on teamwork and a shared commitment to quality.
  • Quality Control : Ensure the consistent quality of all food, from the ingredients used to the final plating, and take accountability for the overall excellence of the kitchen.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a leadership role within a professional kitchen, preferably with expertise in French, Italian, or Western cuisines.
  • A solid understanding of culinary techniques, ingredients, and presentation.
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a kitchen team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for food and great execution.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage kitchen inventory and maintain a high level of operational efficiency.
