Roles & Responsibilities

For the past 73 years, MS First Capital has been actively involved in the non-life insurance business both in Singapore and across Asia. Our roots can be traced back to the 1950s where we engaged in writing both personal and commercial lines of non-life insurance business across various classes such as Fire, Engineering, Marine Hull, Marine Cargo, Bond, Professional Indemnity, Motor, Public Liability, Worker's Compensation, Personal Accident and other Miscellaneous Accident.

Responsibilities

• Manage ongoing broker relations and expectations in relation to underwriting, co-ordinating and ensuring the flow of relevant and timely information and communication between internal functions and external parties
• Contribute to managing and developing an agreed portfolio of accounts
• Support the negotiation with brokers / customers to achieve favourable terms for the Company
• Provide support to the Underwriters on allocated cases in line with the agreed processes with the necessary senior direction and support
• Where applicable, make balanced and well-reasoned recommendation for acceptance of each case above one's authority
• Ensure all requirements are adhered to in accordance with the Company’s capacity and risk appetite as well as applicable legislations
• Ensure transactions are processed within the agreed timeframe
• Guide the allocated processing team to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions
