The Network Technician is responsible for installing, amending, and removing unnecessary cablings and other network peripherals.

The activities may include but not limited to :

  • Install well-functioning computer networks, connections, and cabling.
  • Perform troubleshooting to system failures and identify bottlenecks to ensure long term efficiency of network.
  • Inspect LAN infrastructure and fix minor or major problems / bugs.
  • Test and configure software and maintain and repair hardware and peripheral devices.
  • Evaluate network performance and find ways of improvement

Technical Experience

  • Experienced in Layer 1 Physical administration in enterprise DC and Port Environment.
  • Responsibilities Analyzing, troubleshooting, and correcting network problems remotely / on-site
  • Maintaining an inventory of network equipment along with their specifications
  • Troubleshooting problems with computers, printers, network devices, or other network components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide support for Level 1 escalated issues.
  • Performing standard or project change request as per change window (non-business hours)
  • Performs any other related duties as assigned by the team lead / manager.

  • Rack Locked
  • Rack Fan Working
  • Rack Cleanliness
  • Power Cables Secured

    • Environmental Condition

  • Temperature (Check the location of the temperature and inform the authority or our engineer)
  • Other Environmental Factors (Dust, Dirt etc.), if Duty then need to clean the rack or space where device is located.
  • Physical Health of Device (Randomly need to check the device health).
  • AGV Preventive Maintenance.
  • Rack Mount and Dismount (Installation, Removal and Addition)

    • Labelling

  • Labelling Condition (verify labelling of device if not okay then need to relabel the device.

    • Skills for Success

  • Must possess a valid class 3 driving license
  • Diploma in Computer Science / IT or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in hands-on experience with common software and hardware installation and deployment
